Seamless aluminum gutters (0.032" -- the thickest), downspouts and Leaf
Relief Gutter Guards being installed on this home in Laurel, MD.
41 foot long gutters being fitted with the "new construction" type of
Gutter Cover by Alcoa...
This version of Leaf Relief not only keeps the units "debris free" but also adds significant
strenght to the entire system.
Why the rectangular style outlet rather than the round type?
...Because it allows water to evacuate from the gutter about 1.5x faster!
When in doubt we use a level to pitch the gutter correctly. This
part of the roof had "leveling" issues and required a tool to set the unit correctly.
Nice 'n straight. Strong too!
No way for any water to get to the fascia board. Nice!
Nothing that fits through those tiny holes can ever clog a gutter -- yet
Alcoa claims that these guards won't overflow even in a storm with 6" per hour downpours.
2 x 3 downspouts were plenty for this application.
Double downspouts will carry water away from this foundation nicely,
virtually eliminating any chance of foundation water problems...

P.S. Like I said on the Leaf Relief Page -- I've been

happened yet!
